Actually sounds like it'd be really helpful, but I don't want to bother you or Metagross.

We're already out and about; it isn't a bother at all. Leave it to us.

[ metagross is pretty self-sufficient and responsible, which means it can definitely take on the task by itself. of course, steven will keep an eye out for them as well. ]

How many should we be on the lookout for?

Basically every single one in the cat café ran off... Which hasn't happened before.
Robot cats don't even get tired.

That sounds like quite the predicament... Still, it shouldn't be much of a problem. Give us an hour.

[ he's done search and rescue missions before! and while metagross can be pretty intimidating to small animals, it's nothing that some light psychic energy can't subdue. ]

[ and that will be when steven releases metagross, giving it the low-down on its mission. it's not exactly as optimal as a battle, but it's amusing enough for the steel-type to agree to. after all, this is for a friend of a friend.

an hour passes by without a word from steven. but as adrien continues to search, metagross will spot it as it levitates from a higher altitude. it seems like it's just floating by, but upon its descent, it becomes clear that there are several... things on top of it.

it untucks its legs touches down onto the ground, and the figures become clear - it has six robot cats on its head. they all look fairly calm, being kept in place by a gentle magnetic force. ]

[ oh god, his saviour. adrien's struggling with just two fussy robot cats in his hands, but he's at least being careful enough not to hurt them at all as he carries them on his way back to the cat café to join the other two he'd managed to find.

but yes, metagross doesn't even need to touch down with all those cats on its back for adrien's expression to brighten somewhat. seeing one of steven's Cool Pokémon is always enough for that. ]

Meta— [ whoops that sure is a robot paw up in his face, making it a little difficult to speak ] —Hey, Metagross! You caught more than I did, huh?

[ which isn't that much of a surprise. ]

[ life is good when you have your own magnetic field to control, tbh. and since adrien seems to be having some trouble, it'll gently lift the cats in his hands to rest them on his head as well. it doesn't seem too bothered by it, but silently nods.

around that time, adrien will be getting a voice call on his cerevice from steven. ]

Did Metagross manage to find you?

[ oh. why is metagross so cool.

adrien blinks a bit when the cats are pulled from his hands, not quite determining what was happening until they settled onto metagross' head. at that point he smiles in gratitude, though his fanboy-ing is cut short by the sound of that call coming through.

honestly, adrien probably doesn't even need to confirm it with words given how his tone is probably a little bit more chipper when he answers. ]

Hi again, Steven. [ metagross is as cool as always, because: ] 'Course it did, it's Metagross. How come you didn't drop by too?

[ he always wants to see Cool Rock Dad. ]

[ a question he asks himself every day...

but he'll reply to that response with a smile and a small chuckle. ]

I'm afraid Beldum and I are a little... "wrapped up" at the moment.

[ a moment later, he'll get a picture message - it's of beldum, pretty much covered in a pile of robot kittens. a quick headcount will show that it's the remaining ones that aren't on metagross' head. ]

Once you've secured the ones that Metagross had, I'll have it come back to pick up the rest of them. They're quite attracted to Beldum's magnetism, but I'm afraid it can't pick them all up itself.

[ ... headcount, right! he could do that, if he wasn't so busy laughing at the picture steven sent. look, beldum in a cuddle pile with kittens... it's adorable.

through his chuckling: ]

You're— heh, you're kitten me.

[ shut up adrien.

but okay after that amazing picture has settled down, he continues more level, though there's obviously still a smile in the edges of his words. ]

I'll get the rest of them back, then, even if... Beldum kinda looks like it's having fun. [ pfffft. ] Can it hear me? I want to say thanks.

[ as he gestures for metagross to follow him to the cat café, the wonder still kind of in his eyes.

[ aw, it got a chuckle out of him though. adrien is the only one he's really comfortable with punning at around here. ]
